Because it took me a minute to find/remember: if you are in the UK and see immigration enforcement vans (UK equivalent of ICE) you can tweet the location to @/antiraids and @/LCAPSV on twitter who will retweet to warn/raise awareness for others who need it

They’re also good accounts to follow just in general

hahahahahaha!!!!!!!! 50 years on and Vietnam is still beating America’s ass !!!!!!!!!!

    uh huh

    You know how china lies?

    Vietnam does the same shit.

I live in vietnam and the number is actually that low lmao vietnam has closed down schools and universities and started online learning since feb. they have praticed social distancing and lock down for 20 days now. The government literally spent billions to put tourists in quarantine for free to health check them everyday for fourteen days to make sure community spread doesn’t happen. They’re willing to risk the economy as long as the people are safe. Like you do know vietnamese people have access to the internet right???

Population differences you people, America has significantly more people total

wow you’re such a genius, if only there were statistics for the number of cases per million people so we could scale it to population size, such as here:

can any mathematicians tell us whether 3 or 3,379 is the larger number? can any number wizards help us out on that one

The lengths that people go to to try and force the idea that the us is great are just astounding really

Fresh and limited cut into the world. Britta Phillps, the singing voice of Jem, has released the “Lost Jem Songs.” When you hear them, you’ll see why. These won’t be up forever and to date aren’t found anywhere else.

So when it says “Lost Jem Songs,” I’m assuming they just mean Britta recorded them around the same time, not that they’re from the show itself?

I believe she recorded them around 1988, and it was part of another musical project she was involved in

Yes, it was recorded at the same time. She felt they had had the same energy and sound as song in Jem. The panel where they dropped the release will be up soon (I’m told).

[ID: A series of tweets by @/Jane Prester that read,

“If you are trapped inside by the smoke and watching your air quality steadily decline- here is somethung you can do right now to make things slightly better.

Get every spare pot/pan/container/bucket you have and fill them halfway with water, place these everywhere in your house you have the space to safely do so. The idea is to create as much watery surface area as possible- the water will gradually absorb smoke particles and clean the air. It’s small, but if you have enough surface area it can make a *very* meaningful difference over 2-3 hours.

Another thing you can do is run a hot shower until your bathtub is ½ filled up- leave the batroom door open. The rush of humidity into your living space will knock many of the smoke particles down onto the floor. (Do this every few hours as needed as needed).

I know how it looks but this set up has kept the air quality in my bedroom basically normal for the past 3 days. It’s an improvised solution- but it’s one that works surprisingly well and doesn’t require much in the way of materials.”

The end of the series of tweets is followed by a picture of many containers of water and a fan, domonstrating the set up described. /END ID]
