“if you’re going to protest, please watch this. we are the techie side of tik tok, this is how to secure your devices and identity while protesting.

    1. do not post on social media about your attendance of your whereabouts. do not click ‘attending’ on facebook events. cops go through these to make arrests weeks to months after protests. 2. download the signal app to communicate with your friends. they encrypt your messages and automatically delete them after a certain period of time. (3.) disable location services on all of your apps, most of them track you in the background. but don’t put your phone totally on airplane mode so that you can still be reached by your friends. (4.) disable the fingerprint or facial id lock on your phone, use passcode only. cops have been known to force people to unlock their phone using these methods. (5.) write the number of the aclu or a local lawyer who is supporting protesters on your skin in case your phone dies or gets confiscated. do not write the number of anybody you know that can be used to track them and you. (6.) wear a face mask to protect against the virus and against facial recognition software. cover any distinguishing tattoos or features including special hair colors, etc. also blur these features out of the videos that you post of your fellow protesters to protect them too. not just their faces, these features. leave your phone locked when filming and taking pictures.  wipe metadata from your photos by screenshotting and posting the screenshots.”

What Happened To Kendrick Johnson and Why People Are Demanding Answers Even Now

On Jan. 11, 2013, the body of 17-year-old Kendrick Johnson was found in the most unusual of circumstances: upside-down and rolled up in a school gym mat. The mysterious death of Kendrick Johnson was initially ruled an accident by law enforcement asserting the ridiculous theory that Johnson must have accidentally fallen into the center of the mat while reaching for a sneaker

    Some inconsistencies in the case:

    • the black and white gym shoe that lay on the ground below Kendrick Johnson, the one he was presumed to be reaching for, was lying on top of a pool of blood, but there was no blood on the shoe itself.
    • A hoodie and a pair of orange and black gym shoes were also found lying on the floor of the gym
    • traces of blood on the wall nearby that wasn’t Kendricks
    • A private pathologist revealed Kendrick Johnson had suffered hemorrhaging on the right side of his neck, which meant that he likely died from blunt force trauma
    • the second autopsy revealed that some of Johnson’s organs were missing and in their place, his body had been stuffed with newspaper.
    • A whole hour of footage from the gym was missing, right at the time which would have shed light on what happened that day

Happy Pride month, the most colorful month in a year that in its history and due to this day is a long path full of blood, tears and violence to achieve freedom. Let’s praise diversity, love and never stop fighting for it. To all of you who are part of the community and all of you who speak up and fight for human rights and love, thank you for just being and existing. After all, more love is what we truly need in this world.

“How many years has it taken people to realize that we are all brothers and sisters and human beings in the human race?” Marsha P. Johnson
