    “James Bond” trended on Twitter on 9/21/21.

    After an interview with Daniel Craig, the current iteration of the titular character James Bond, articles began circulating with headlines such as “Daniel Craig believes James Bond should not be a woman.”

    In the interview, Mr. Craig states: “Why should a woman play James Bond when there should be a part just as good as James Bond, but for a woman? … There should simply be better parts for women and actors of colour.”

    This of course sparked some debate online as to the meaning to Mr. Craig’s statement. Should Hollywood continue to swap in non-white and/or female actors in the place of popular male characters, or should more focus be put on developing the many other popular female characters throughout cinema history, or perhaps develop new characters for them altogether?

    Daniel Craig has previously expressed disdain towards playing the James Bond character, stating in an interview with Time Out magazine following the release of his last James Bond film, Spectre, when asked if he would consider playing the character in yet another film he said: “Now? I’d rather slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

    This has led some to assume a slightly different interpretation of his most recent statement:

    In case anyone was worried, this is a Nurse Shark, one of the types of sharks that doesn’t need to swim forward to breathe!  It also doesn’t appear to be distressed at all, it seems like it’s just chilling.

    More evidence that fish can play.

    Trust me, if a nurse shark doesn’t want something done to it, it WILL let you know. Very, very painfully. They don’t bite often, but they WILL bite when provoked and can deal out serious damage.

    This shark is, indeed, just chilling.
