Pop music’s current matriarch Beyoncé’s diamond-drenched song Kitty Kat describes a lovers dismay at the neglect shown by their partner. Realizing that there is nothing worth staying for, her needs lead her on to the bigger and better things that she deserves. In a recent visit to Tokyo, I fell in love with an extremely fluffy cat that shared this same empowerment. A grumpy persian called Ponko-chan. She was really cute. Let’s go, kitty kat.
