    The Enchanted Forest is a closed park in Ellicott City, Maryland. The theme park opened in 1955 and closed in 1995 after more than half of the land had been turned into the Enchanted Forest Shopping Center. In 2005 active preservation began, and many of the fairy tale buildings have been moved to nearby Clark’s Elioak Farm for display and preservation. Moving and restoration has been underway for the past several years.

    Part of the 1990 movie Cry-Baby, starring Johnny Depp, took place in the Enchanted Forest.
