Kendrick Lamar accepted his Pulitzer Prize for his album ‘DAMN.’ today becoming the first rapper to receive the award.

Okay but hear me out tho
not only is Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN” album the first rapper to win this award, he’s the first nonclassical or jazz musician to ever receive a Pulitzer for music in its history. Ever. Not only is this an incredible victory for rap and hip hop music to be respected and admired from a critical standpoint, it’s an inspiring move for black culture to be appreciated in academic (and notoriously white) circles.
TL;DR: Kendrick Lamar is a damn BOSS
