hey, as northwest oregon is poised to see the hottest and driest temperatures in history over the next few days, could i request that anyone with the means donate a couple bucks to our streets PDX?

they're an organization that does the immediate and life-saving work of handing out water to homeless people in the city. not everyone in a homeless encampment will have the means to get to a cooling shelter (though the metro area DOES have several cooling shelters set up, which i'm very grateful for). the volunteer network has been working all day to distribute water today and are going to keep working through the weekend as long as supplies last. supplies will last longer with donations

the need is urgent as temperatures are poised to reach 115F.

bottled water is cheap and the impact of just a dollar is Immediate.
