    The city Shakespeare chose to set the story of Romeo & Juliet.

    Okay, no. Romeo & Juliet was set in VERONA. Mantua is where the two lovers were supposed to escape to, according to Friar Lawrence’s plan. However, they both committed suicide at Juliet’s family plot in Verona.
